Custom Web Development

Websites and web apps built from your requirements, without a page builder deciding what's possible.

Start with a brief

What this is

Custom web development covers a lot of ground, from a marketing site to a full web application with logins, dashboards and a database behind it. The "custom" part has little to do with looks. When a plugin or theme would force a compromise, we write the feature ourselves. That starts to matter the day your site has to do more than show content: take a booking, show a client their records, or talk to another system.

Who this is for

  • Businesses whose current site is slow, vague and doesn't bring in enquiries

  • Teams that need a portal for clients or customers, not just a brochure

  • Products that need a public web app, such as a dashboard, booking flow or self-service tool

  • Anyone who has hit the limit of what Wix or a WordPress theme will let them do

What problem this solves

Templates convert poorly

A theme designed for 10,000 other businesses says nothing in particular about yours. Visitors can tell.

Plugins slow sites down and break

Each plugin you bolt on to get a missing feature is one more thing that can clash, drag the page down, or get abandoned by its author.

No real backend for what you need

Bookings, client logins and data dashboards need an actual application behind them. A page builder won't get you there.

Speed and SEO get left for later

Fixing speed and technical SEO on a finished site is expensive. Building them in from day one costs very little.

What Nimbryx actually builds

Marketing & business websites

Fast sites written specifically for your business and built to turn visitors into enquiries, with the technical SEO groundwork done.

Client & customer portals

A logged-in area where clients check their data, documents or status without phoning your office.

Admin panels

Internal dashboards for managing content, orders or records, designed around your workflow rather than a stock CMS.

Booking & scheduling systems

Booking flows whose availability rules match how you really schedule, holidays and odd slots included.

API-driven web applications

A frontend that talks to the backend you already have, or both layers built together.

Authentication & security

Role-based login, proper session handling and input validation from the first commit.

How this typically works

01

Requirements & sitemap

Every page and flow gets agreed before design begins, so nothing surprises anyone mid-build.

02

Design & build

Design for your brand, built straight in code. Not a template with your logo dropped in.

03

Performance & SEO pass

Core Web Vitals, structured data, sitemap and metadata checked before launch, not after.

04

Launch & support

We handle deployment and domain setup, and a post-launch support window is included.

When this isn’t the right call

If you need a simple brochure site that won't do anything beyond display information, and a template genuinely covers it, use a page builder or a cheaper option. You'll be live sooner and spend less. Custom work is worth it once the site needs logins, bookings or integrations that a template can only fake with heavy workarounds.

Common questions

Should I use WordPress or a custom build?

WordPress is fine when the site is mostly content and non-technical people need to edit it constantly. When speed, conversion and long-term maintenance cost matter more, a custom build on a modern framework wins. Our website development cost guide lays out the comparison honestly.

How long does a custom website take?

A focused 5–8 page marketing site takes 3 to 5 weeks. Add a client portal, booking system or custom backend and you're looking at 6 to 12 weeks, depending on scope.

Do you handle hosting and domains?

Yes. We usually host on Vercel because it's quick and dependable, and you get full access. You aren't tied to us as the host.

Can you redesign an existing site instead of a full rebuild?

Often, yes. First we work out what's really wrong (speed, conversion, the mobile experience) and scope a redesign that fixes that. We won't push a rebuild for its own sake.
