The problem
Every outlet ran its own billing software, and none of them were connected. Head office couldn't see stock across the chain, so purchasing decisions were made by messaging outlet managers on WhatsApp. Near-expiry drugs only surfaced during physical stock counts, by which time the write-off was already locked in. GST returns meant exporting 12 separate sales files and reconciling them in Excel. Two days of work, every month.
What we built
A central pharmacy management platform. Each outlet gets POS billing; head office gets a live, chain-wide inventory dashboard. Expiry alerts fire automatically at 90, 30 and 7 days. Invoices are GST-compliant, and the monthly returns export is one click. A purchase order module lets procurement negotiate bulk quantities using real consumption data from across the group.

Procurement started placing consolidated orders for the whole group, which brought average purchase cost down by roughly 11% through volume deals. Common questions
Does the pharmacy software support GST e-invoicing and HSN codes?
Yes. Invoices carry the right HSN codes for pharmaceutical products and the correct CGST/SGST/IGST split, and the system produces a monthly returns file ready to upload. If your turnover is above the e-invoice threshold, we connect directly to the GST e-invoice API so invoices get registered on the portal automatically.
Can it manage Schedule H and H1 drugs with prescription tracking?
Yes. Schedule H/H1 drugs are flagged at the counter, and the sale can't complete until the operator records the prescription details. That record is stored with the sale for audits. The exact regulatory requirements vary, so we pin them down with each client during discovery.
How is this different from Medeil or GoFrugal pharmacy software?
Standard pharmacy POS products are good at billing for one outlet. Add a second outlet and you're running two separate systems with no shared view. Once you have several outlets and want chain-wide stock visibility, consolidated purchasing and a single GST filing, custom software usually pays for itself within the first year.
